Overview
Radiology Tech – MRI (Travel) needed for a hospital assignment in Cumming, GA. Start date 08/24/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,151 to $2,263 per week with 36 guaranteed hours per week. Shift: weekend coverage Friday through Sunday with 12-hour daytime shifts (7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.). No local candidates within 50 miles. This travel opportunity involves breast imaging and general MRI work within a high-volume department.

Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations for ED, inpatients, and outpatients with an average daily patient load of 25–30; ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the exam.
- Position patients, select coils, and optimize imaging sequences to obtainDiagnostic-quality MRI studies, with attention to breast imaging as part of the breast biopsy workflow.
- Administer contrast agents per protocol and monitor for adverse reactions; respond to patient needs and safety concerns during imaging.
- Operate MRI equipment, manage imaging protocols, and document procedures in the Cerner EMR system; maintain image quality and accurate patient records.
- Support breast imaging and biopsy procedures in collaboration with radiologists; assist with scheduling and coordination as needed.
- Communicate effectively with ED, inpatient, and outpatient teams to maintain workflow and timely imaging throughput; adhere to safety, infection control, and radiation safety practices.

Requirements
- Active license/credentials required for radiologic technology in Georgia (per state requirements).
- Certifications: ARRT – Mammography and AHA BLS required.
- Minimum 2 years of recent MRI experience in a clinical setting.
- Proficiency with Cerner or a comparable EMR system.
- Ability to work in a hospital environment; capable of weekend schedule and travel for assignment.
- Must meet all Job Notes requirements, including outside-50-mile candidate rule.
