Job Description: Data Scientist

Location: Minneapolis, MN (Day 1 onsite)

Experience: 5+ Years

Note: We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist with strong knowledge of data science methodologies, statistical techniques, and machine learning algorithms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience analyzing complex datasets, developing analytical models, identifying patterns, and translating data-driven insights into actionable business recommendations The candidate must be local to Minneapolis, MN, and have approximately 5 years of relevant experience in Data Science.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on Data Science experience, with a strong track record of applying statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and advanced analytical techniques to solve complex real-world business problems.
• Strong understanding of data science concepts, statistical methods, and algorithms.
• Knowledge of machine learning techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning.
• Experience with data analysis, exploratory data analysis, and predictive modeling.
• Ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable insights.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business insights.
• Apply statistical methods and mathematical techniques to solve business problems.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate machine learning algorithms and predictive models.
• Perform data cleaning, preprocessing, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis.
• Select appropriate algorithms based on business objectives and data characteristics.
• Evaluate model performance using relevant statistical metrics and validation techniques.
• Communicate analytical findings and model results to technical and business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making.
• Document methodologies, assumptions, results, and recommendations.

Preferred Technical Skills

• Python or R for data analysis and modeling.
• SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Experience with model validation, performance evaluation, and feature engineering.
• Familiarity with data visualization and analytical reporting tools.
