Quality Project Manager - Job Overview

Schedule: Monday-Friday (8AM-5PM) | Hybrid

You'll work closely with the VP of Quality Management, playing a pivotal role in the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and support performance on clinical quality measures through data tracking, chart audits, and gap analysis.
  • Collaborate with care teams to ensure accurate clinical documentation, coding, and use of EMR tools for quality reporting.
  • Provide guidance and feedback on quality improvement tools and best practices supporting quality metrics.
  • Conduct regular chart audits and provide feedback on care gaps, documentation accuracy, and compliance issues.
  • Support the implementation of Quality Improvement Plans, Root Cause Analyses, and Plan-Do-Study-Act cycles.
  • Prepare for HRSA Operational Site Visits, PCMH recognition, and other accreditation/compliance requirements.
  • Facilitate clinic quality check-ins, quality workgroups, and collaborate with clinicians to drive progress on quality initiatives.
  • Generate routine quality reports and dashboards to inform leadership and frontline teams of trends and opportunities.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary quality committees and project teams as assigned.
  • Support communication between the Quality Department and clinic teams to ensure alignment of quality goals with clinical practice.
  • Attend required training sessions or activities and promote a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Assist in the orientation/training of new staff members and volunteers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's level degree is required.
  • CPHQ certification is required within 12 months of hire or promotion into position.
  • One (1) year of healthcare experience and one (1) year of performance improvement or quality experience is required.
  • Previous experience in role where project coordination/management is required.
  • Two (2) years of experience with quality improvement, data collection, and regulatory compliance (preferred).
  • CPHQ Certification (preferred).
  • 1+ years EPIC EMR experience (preferred).
  • Previous experience in Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, LVN, or RN position (preferred).
  • Experience with AAAHC Joint Commission or other governing body accreditation is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to be socially perceptive in accepting and relaying confidential information, communicating policies and procedures, and interacting effectively.
  • Excellent verbal/written English communication skills, including excellent grammatical, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Skills with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and other web-based applications.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to facilitate staff education and support change management.
  • Ability to produce complex documents, perform analysis and maintain databases.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to work with confidential information.
  • Extensive knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system.
  • Strong knowledge of UDS, HEDIS, NCQA, and HRSA quality requirements.
