Job Description

the Little Lark  is looking to expand our team and seeking a strong Pizza Cook . The position will be responsible for stretching, topping and cooking pizzas, and report to the Head Chef.

The position is paid hourly and can expect to be scheduled 20-30 hours per week. Must be able to work weeknights, Plus nights and weekends.

Candidates must have relevant  PIZZA making experience within the hospitality industry, preferably wood fired pizzas. A strong knowledge base and passion for artisanal foods and wine/spirits/craft beer is paramount. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our guest satisfaction and overall success of the restaurants.

Ideal Candidates :

• Experience making Neapolitan or Artisanal style pizzas

• Hand stretch pizza dough

• Master pizza production in a hand crafted pizza oven

• Work a busy service smoothly

• Exceptional eye for detail

• Familiarity in using a wood fired oven 

• Highly organized, detail oriented and punctual

• Great attitude, respectful and a team player

• Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours and lift at least 50 pounds

 

Responsibilities:   Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Preparation of food for guests
• Communication and establishment of pars
• Knowledge of all culinary functions in the kitchen
• Trouble-shooting any problems that may arise
• Enforcing strict health and hygiene standards in the kitchen
• Station maintenance and cleanliness
• Maintain a positive, pleasant, attitude every shift

Essential Requirements :

• Available to work various shifts throughout the week, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to walk and stand during entire shift.
• Ability to continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop and cut.
• Ability to remain stationary for long periods of time.
• Frequent washing of hands
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Hazards may include, but are not limited to, cutting, burning, slipping, tripping

Required Experience and Skills:

• Culinary degree and/or 2 yrs experience
• Culinary knowledge and skills
• Organizational skills and multi-task oriented

Our newly launched dinner service is our take on coastal French fare, with Midwestern sourced ingredients.
