PRESS Restaurant is seeking a visionary and talented Pastry Chef to lead and evolve our pastry program. In this role, you will drive innovation and creativity across our dessert offerings, ensuring exceptional quality, consistency, and memorable experiences for our guests.
Under the guidance of Chef Philip Tessier and Managing Partner Justin Williams, PRESS is committed to culinary excellence and providing refined dining experiences rooted in seasonal ingredients and thoughtful technique. As part of the leadership team behind Michelin-starred PRESS Restaurant, the Pastry Chef will play a key role in shaping and executing a pastry program that reflects the restaurant’s dedication to craftsmanship and hospitality.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute creative, seasonal pastry menus including plated desserts, breads, mignardises, and specialty confections.
Lead, mentor, and inspire the pastry team while maintaining the highest standards of quality, presentation, and consistency.
Oversee daily pastry production, ensuring efficient workflow, organization, and adherence to culinary standards.
Collaborate closely with the culinary leadership team to create thoughtful dessert pairings that complement the savory menu.
Manage ordering, inventory, and sourcing of high-quality ingredients for pastry production.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional kitchen environment.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a senior pastry leadership role in a fine dining environment.
Deep knowledge of pastry techniques, dessert trends, and ingredient functionality.
Strong creative ability with a passion for refined, seasonally driven desserts.
Excellent leadership skills with experience mentoring and developing pastry talent.
Strong organizational, communication, and time-management abilities.
