The Office of the Governor, Division of Administrative Services is looking for a Network System Specialist to join our team in Juneau!
The Office of the Governor (GOV) Information Technology team is a cross-trained team of six consisting of three junior positions, two senior positions, and the IT Manager. This Microcomputer/Network Spec position is one of the team’s senior-level technical roles and supports the Office of the Governor, Office of the Lieutenant Governor, Office of Management and Budget, Division of Elections, and the Alaska State Commission for Human Rights. The GOV IT team is responsible for administering, maintaining, troubleshooting, and securing the department’s technology environment, including infrastructure, endpoints, servers, enterprise services, and network-connected devices.
Our office offers a dynamic, team-oriented atmosphere dedicated to providing high-quality customer and professional services to the State of Alaska, department staff, and the public. Any combination of education and progressively responsible professional experience in systems administration, infrastructure support, or related information technology operations that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position. This is typically gained through training in computer science, information technology, system administration, or a similar field, together with professional experience supporting enterprise systems, infrastructure services, and end-user computing environments.
