Middle School Social Studies Techer St. Barnabas Elementary School Reports To: Principal Location: St. Barnabas Elementary School Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM – 3:20 PM Compensation: Salary will be based on CBA $58,426.00 - $65,140.00Position SummaryFull-Time Position St. Barnabas Elementary School is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and student-centered educator to teach Middle School Social Studies for grades 6 - 8. We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about academic excellence, committed to fostering a positive classroom environment, and eager to support the mission and values of Catholic education. Someone who will be a team player in our large school community.Key ResponsibilitiesTeach Social Studies courses for students in grades 6 – 8 Develop engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards Create a classroom environment that promotes critical thinking, collaboration, and respect Foster a positive and engaging learning environment Assess student progress and maintain accurate academic records Communicate effectively with students, parents, faculty, and administration Participate in faculty meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities Integrate technology and hands-on learning experiences into instruction Support the mission and values of Catholic education Qualifications Bachelor's degree in education or Master's Degree preferred Valid teaching certification or proof of pathway to certification At least of 2 – 5 years of Middle School teaching experience preferred Strong classroom management and communication skills Commitment to academic excellence and student growth Practicing Catholic preferred, but not requiredApplication ProcessInterested candidates should submit a cover letter and resume to:Giuseppe Campailla, Principal St. Barnabas Elementary SchoolSt. Barnabas Elementary School is committed to fostering a faith-filled environment rooted in academic excellence, service, and Catholic values.
