Position Summary
As a Medical Device Manufacturing Assembler, this position will be responsible for supporting Manufacturing Operations objectives and activities by assembling and testing products in accordance with the device master record (DMR), quality standards, and the manufacturing schedule. Manufacturing operations are mainly hand assembly and testing of electromechanical medical devices and assemblies in a non-clean room environment.
Job Responsibilities
As a Manufacturing Assembler, this position is responsible for and has authority that includes:
· Produces assembled parts and subassemblies.
· Tests assembled parts, sub-assemblies and finished devices.
· Uses hand tools, small machines, fasteners, and adhesives to assemble parts.
· Conducts in-process quality control checks.
· Cleans and maintains work area and equipment, including tools.
· Prepares work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
· Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
· Verifies specifications by measuring completed components and assemblies.
· Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
· Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
· Documents actions and results by completing production and quality forms.
Other responsibilities include:
· Performs a variety of other tasks as assigned or take as ownership projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
·1–3 years manufacturing and test experience
· High school diploma or GED.
· Ability to read and interpret manufacturing procedures, drawings, blueprints.
· Familiarity using basic hand tools, e.g., torque wrench, caliper, micrometer, ruler.
· Ability to focus on tasks for an extended time.
· Eyesight and manual dexterity needed to perform fine operations and adjustments.
· Basic computer skills, e.g., printing documents and updating MS Excel spreadsheets.
· Experience working effectively with teams within an organization.
· Good verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Prior experience working in a regulated industry, e.g., medical, automotive, aerospace, strongly preferred
· Additional training, skills, technical or applicable expertise contributing to manufacturing operations.
