Job Title: Corporate Environmental Engineer
Basic Purpose of the Position: This position will apply principles of engineering, environmental compliance, and sustainability to guide Evapco's efforts to protect human health and the natural environment. The Corporate Environmental Engineer will help identify solutions that enable global environmental compliance while supporting site specific environmental needs across various media, including, but not limited to stormwater, wastewater, air emissions, waste management, chemical management, environmental due diligence, and carbon accounting.
Major Areas of Responsibility: - Establish reliable systems for compliance assurance across environmental topic areas.
- Develop and deploy global minimum standards for Evapco's environmental programs.
- Conduct environmental assessments, including site investigations, sampling, and data analysis to identify potential hazards or compliance issues.
- Prepare and/or guide the creation of technical reports and documentation required for regulatory submissions.
- Perform validations of site permitting and reporting requirements (Tier II, TRI, Biennial waste reporting, etc.) to ensure compliance and comprehensive recordkeeping.
- Collaborate cross functionally with internal and external stakeholders; including product development, operations, site EHS, legal, municipalities, state & federal regulators, etc.
- Develop sustainability initiatives such as energy efficiency programs, resource conservation plans, and climate resilience strategies.
- Oversee environmental remediation projects, including soil and groundwater cleanup.
- Monitor environmental performance of facilities or projects through inspections, audits, and continuous improvement programs.
- Provide guidance and support site-specific implementation of environmental solutions such as water treatment systems, pollution control technologies, and waste reduction strategies.

Knowledge, Skills, & Experience: - Bachelors degree in an environmental related field of study (preferred).
- +15 years of experience in an environmental role supporting manufacturing operations (preferred).
- Fundamental knowledge and understanding of 40 CFR EPA and 49 CFR DOT.
- Experience working at a muti-state / regional scale.
- Experience managing permitting and compliance requirements across various media: air emissions, stormwater, wastewater, waste management, etc.
- Experience developing leading and lagging metrics to effectively monitor and measure environmental compliance and performance indicators.
- Systems-based thinker that can architect sustainable environmental programs that are reinforced with management system principals (plan, do, check, act).
- Experience developing and delivering environmental compliance training with learning objectives and engaging content.
- Ability to balance big picture, strategic thinking with tactical expertise.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and technical judgment.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and work both independently.
- Ability to collaborate and engage stakeholders to gain consensus and influence others to achieve results.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements: The position is based in Taneytown, MD and works closely with all site & corporate EHS personnel. Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally <25%.

Pay Range: $144,000 - $168,000 per year
