Job Description

The Controller directs and oversees operational financial activities of company, including transaction processing and financial report production. Maximizes return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems for multi-site/muti entity/multi FEIN. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree with concentration in accounting

• CPA

  • 10 years of experience or training
  • 5 years of experience supervising a multi-person accounting staff

Areas of Primary Responsibility
  • Develop and manage Accounting staff to include general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial systems
  • Liaise with Communities on accounting policy, procedure, and training
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to support the financial infrastructure
  • Manage online banking and treasury management functions
  • Manage short-term cash flow (7-30 day) and cash controls
  • Serve as final point of escalation for Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable issues
  • Oversee monthly financial close and related management, internal, and external reporting to ensure timely completions
  • Maintain accounting support schedules including insurance, loans, fixed assets, depreciation, and tax
  • Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors, manage preparation and support of all external audits
  • Manage annual budget process and assist communities and departments in the preparation of their budgets
  • Develop and maintain finance and accounting policies and procedures in compliance with professional standards, state and federal regulatory requirements.
