Job Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Evaluate Invitations to Bid (ITBs) submitted by clients
• Prepare comprehensive and accurate quantity takeoffs for various concrete construction applications
• Examine project documentation to identify risks and determine labor and material requirements
• Solicit, review, and analyze pricing information from vendors and subcontractors
• Develop precise cost estimates and prepare detailed technical bid proposals
• Submit, monitor, and follow up on bid proposals in a timely manner
• Provide technical assistance and support to project teams as necessary
• Cultivate and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients and vendors

Requirements

• Proficiency with industry standard- estimating software, including Bluebeam, HCSS HeavyBid, and PlanSwift
• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and SharePoint
• Experience with Computer Aided- Design (CAD) or Tekla is preferred but not mandatory
• Exceptional organizational, analytical, communication, and problem solving- capabilities
• Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment while also working independently when required
   

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 5 years of structural concrete estimating experience in commercial or industrial sectors
