Position OverviewWe are seeking an Associate Attorney with 2 5 years of litigation experience to join a dynamic litigation team in Reno, Nevada. The ideal candidate will have experience managing cases throughout the litigation process, including drafting legal documents, conducting discovery, attending hearings and depositions, and supporting trial preparation. Experience in medical malpractice defense or healthcare law is preferred but not required.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage litigation matters from pre-trial through trial under the guidance of senior attorneys.
Draft pleadings, motions, written discovery, legal memoranda, and settlement agreements.
Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive legal arguments.
Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, client meetings, and trials as required.
Develop case strategies and collaborate with attorneys, clients, and expert witnesses.
Review and analyze medical records, evidence, and case-related documentation.
Ensure compliance with Nevada State and Federal court rules, deadlines, and procedural requirements.
Maintain strong client communication while providing high-quality legal representation.
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active Nevada State Bar license in good standing.
2 5 years of civil litigation experience.
Strong understanding of Nevada State and Federal court procedures.
Experience drafting pleadings, motions, written discovery, and other litigation documents.
Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills.
Ability to effectively manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in medical malpractice defense or healthcare law.
Trial preparation and courtroom experience.
Strong organizational and case management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a client-focused approach.
