Job Title: SAFe Agile Scrum Master (Public Trust)

We are seeking a SAFe Scrum Master to lead high-performing delivery teams within a complex, multi-system integration environment.

You are not just a "meeting facilitator." You are a transformation leader who understands the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and possesses the technical fluency to coach DevOps and Integration teams toward true agility.

The Core Mission

You will serve as the servant-leader for 1–2 Agile Release Train (ART) teams, ensuring the successful execution of Program Increments (PI). You will bridge the gap between high-level architectural requirements and sprint-level execution, while coaching the organization on DevSecOps maturity and Agile best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Scrum Leadership: Facilitate all SAFe ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Iteration Planning, Backlog Refinement, and Iteration Reviews/Retrospectives.
• PI Planning: Lead teams through PI Planning readiness, including Feature/Story refinement and dependency mapping across Salesforce and MuleSoft workstreams.
• Remove Impediments: Aggressively identify and clear technical and bureaucratic roadblocks, specifically those involving federal compliance and cross-agency dependencies.
• Metrics & Reporting: Utilize Jira/Confluence to track and report on Velocity, Burndown, and Cumulative Flow, using data to drive continuous improvement (Inspect & Adapt).
• Dependency Management: Coordinate closely with the System Architect and Release Train Engineer (RTE) to manage integrations with dependent shared services..
• Agile Coaching: Act as a mentor to Product Owners, Developers, and Stakeholders to improve Team and Program Level maturity. Drive the adoption of TDD (Test Driven Development) and automated CI/CD mindsets.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in IT/Software Development environments.
• Minimum 4+ years of dedicated experience as a Scrum Master.
• Proven experience working within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment (PI Planning, ARTs).
• Demonstrated experience coaching teams in DevSecOps culture.
• Familiarity with Salesforce, AWS, and CI/CD pipelines to effectively understand team blockers.
• US citizen or authorized to work in the United States
• Must have lived in the USA for three of the last five years
• Must be able to obtain a US federal government badge and eligible for Public Trust clearance
• Must be able to pass a VITG background check and drug screening

Certifications

• Required - SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or SAFe Advanced Scrum Master (SASM).
• Preferred - SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) or Certified Agile Coach (ICP-ACC).

Job Type: Full Time (40 hrs/week)

Salary: $80,000 to $120,000 p.a.

Work Type & Location: Hybrid remote in Ellicott City, MD 21043
