Job Description

Bark Barbecue is growing, and we are looking for a highly organized, resourceful Administrative Assistant to support the team at our new 8,700 sq. ft. flagship location in North Brooklyn.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being at the center of a fast-moving operation, keeping things organized, solving problems, and helping a growing business run more efficiently behind the scenes.

Position: Administrative Assistant

The Administrative Assistant will work closely with restaurant leadership and support a wide range of day-to-day business needs, including purchasing, invoices, vendor communication, recordkeeping, payments, reporting, and general administrative organization.

No two days will look exactly the same.

You may be following up with a vendor about an invoice, organizing purchasing records, helping management prepare a report, tracking payments, updating spreadsheets, or making sure important documents and information are where they need to be.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership, notices the small details, follows through, and enjoys creating order in a busy environment.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to develop broader experience in restaurant operations, administration, purchasing, and business management while working directly with a growing hospitality team.

What You’ll Do

• Help keep daily administrative operations organized and running smoothly
• Receive, organize, track, and maintain invoices, receipts, and purchasing records
• Assist with vendor payments, invoice approvals, and payment tracking
• Communicate with vendors and help resolve billing, credit, or documentation issues
• Assist with purchasing and placing orders as needed
• Maintain organized spreadsheets, reports, files, and company records
• Track outstanding invoices, missing documents, credits, and follow-ups
• Support management with reporting, data entry, research, and administrative projects
• Help improve internal systems and organization as the business continues to grow
• Assist with additional operational and administrative needs as they arise

Who We’re Looking For

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Reliable, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of tasks
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets, numbers, invoices, and business records
• Able to manage multiple priorities without losing track of details
• Comfortable communicating professionally with vendors and team members
• Previous administrative, hospitality, office, purchasing, accounts payable, or operations experience is helpful, but we are open to candidates with strong transferable skills
• Experience with Excel, Google Sheets, or similar software is a plus
• Spanish or Brazilian Portuguese language skills are a plus but not required

Why Join Bark Barbecue

• Join a growing hospitality company at an exciting stage of expansion
• Work closely with leadership and gain exposure to multiple areas of the business
• Build valuable experience in administration, purchasing, finance, and restaurant operations
• Opportunity for professional growth and increased responsibility over time
• Competitive compensation
• Collaborative, fast-paced, and respectful work environment

We are looking for someone who wants to become an important part of the team—not just complete a list of tasks.

If you are organized, dependable, curious, and enjoy helping things run better, we would love to hear from you.

Please reply with your resume and a brief introduction about yourself and why you are interested in the role.
